Owen received a Bachelor of Science in General Sciences with a focus on Biology and Psychology at the University of British Columbia in 2022. He has just completed his first year of Optometry at the University of Waterloo. Owen was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada and looks forward to contributing to the IGHRG once more during the summer, as he had been actively involved with the group before his current studies and with other volunteer research opportunities through the university and local hospital.
In his free time, Owen likes to flyfish, make his own flies through fly-tying techniques, hunt, hike, and be outdoors or surrounded by friends and family. Being outside and learning more about nature has recently become one of his favourite past times.
