Shawna has a degree in English from the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada with a minor in History and Indigenous Cultures.

 

For the past twelve years, she has worked with Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in assisting newcomers to settle in Canada. In her spare time, Shawna enjoys traveling, downhill skiing and spending time with her ten-year-old daughter.
